Frome Active
Received £6000 grant from FCLP funds 07-08 to develop and distribute to children, young people and parents a directory of organisations, services and activities in Frome. This is published on the website and is updated regularly, this includes information about activities and holidays and seasonal events, Frome Active also work with the Frome Youth Council. Other partner organisations in Frome
The FCLP links with and is represented at local bodies such as FIP (Frome Inclusion Partnership), FLF (Frome Learning Forum), and FETE (Frome Education Training and Enterprise). Their work informs the work of the FCLP and action undertaken at these groups will be reported via the termly newsletter.
The Locality Team
The Locality Team role is to coordinate the work of non-educational agencies supporting children, schools and families in Frome.
The FCLP works closely with the locality team to:
- Develop Services
- Monitor Needs
- Co-Ordinate Support
- Evaluate Progress
The Locality Team is based in Frome and can be reached via any of the FCLP Schools
Children's Centres
There is already one Children's Centre in Frome: The Key Centre, which is located alongside Christchurch School. A second Children's Centre is planned for 2008/09, which will be built alongside Hayesdown School.
