Co-Chairs of FCLP

The Co-Chairs of FCLP are serving headteachers elected from within the Headteacher Group. Any FCLP headteacher is eligible to serve as leader whatever size school they lead.

Each Executive Chair is elected for a period of two years, on a rolling programme.

A sum of money, determined by the Headteacher group and commensurate with the tasks agreed at the time of election, is allocated to allow the leaders to be released for sufficient time to carry out the role.

To represent FCLP, or to delegate representation if necessary.

 

To make decisions on behalf of the FCLP, with the support of the Executive or Headteachers' Group, or if necessary, alone. Most issues will be 'supported' decisions with Co-Ordinator.

 

Schedule and organise meetings for the Executive Group, Headteachers' Group, the annual conference and the AGM with the support of the Co-Ordinator.

 

To collate FCLP action Plan with the guardian heads after Headteachers' Group have decided on areas of action.

 

To hold the list of FCLP project leaders and direct relevant communication to them.

 

To coordinate, with guiding heads, school based projects through the Co-Ordinator.

 

Work with Treasurer, Co-Ordinator &Finance Officer to produce annual budget and ensure executive group monitors and reviews this budget at all its meetings.

 

To receive written feedback from FCLP project leaders before Management group meetings.

 

To become involved in FCLP project work as identified when elected.

 

Produce a summary newsletters for governors and staff in all FCLP schools following the second headteachers group meeting of each term.
