Meetings

Once each half term, including an annual 2-day residential conference held in March. Meetings are chaired by The Executive Heads. Minutes are distributed to all headteachers.

Membership

The headteachers of each of the 17 schools plus the FCLP co-ordinator.

Function

 

Peer support

To provide a framework for the support of all its members by its members activities.

To determine, justify and prioritise projects eligible for FCLP funding each year.

To identify leadership and management for each activity to be known as Guardian each of each project.

To determine the budget of each area of activity and the total FCLP budget each year.

 

Budget and finance

To act on budget issues to ensure value for money and prudent financial decision making.

To monitor FCLP action and report to all governors and staff in Frome schools.

To determine the level of the FCLP Levy.

 

Relationships and communications

At the Headteacher annual conference to elect: one/two Head(s) to act as Executive Leader(s) of FCLP; and a Head to be the FCLP Treasurer.

To respond to ideas and views generated by the Steering Group, and to ask them to explore long-term strategies and actions on behalf of the FCLP.

Following the second headteachers group meeting of each term, FCLP coordinator to produce and distribute to all FCLP staff and governors a written newsletter, based on reports from Guardian heads produced for Management Meeting .
